The print, trimmed
Scanned one print on a large scanner bed? AI Auto Cropper trims the plain border around the photo automatically and gives you just the print.
Multi-photo scans are split into separate pictures, normal photos use subject detection, and photos where the subject fills the frame are kept whole.
Example · Single photo

- Works best when the area around the print is plain and even.
- Ordinary photos get cropped around the subject; if none is found or it fills the frame, the whole photo stays.
- Drag the edges of the box for a tighter or looser trim.
- Several prints on one scan are split automatically.
Auto crop result
Only the photo, none of the scanner bed.
The empty margin around a single print is trimmed; the print itself is untouched.

Auto crop
What does auto crop do for scans?
Most scanners capture the whole glass, even when you place one small print in the corner. The result is a large file that is mostly empty white or gray. Auto crop finds where the photo ends and the scanner bed begins, and keeps only the photo.
It automatically handles three cases: multiple prints on a scan are split into separate photos, a single print on a plain background is trimmed of borders, and an ordinary photo with background gets cropped around its subject. If the subject already fills the frame or no clear subject is found, the whole photo is kept.

Use cases
When auto crop helps
Cleaning up scans that captured more than the photo.

Trim borders quickly between scans without opening an editor.
Prints with white borders

Why auto crop
Why auto crop instead of cropping by hand?
Cropping a single photo by hand is quick once, but tedious a hundred times. Auto crop gets the border right on clean scans every time, and still lets you adjust the box when you want a different framing.
- Border trimmed in one step
- Original resolution kept
- Free, in the browser, no account
Examples
Auto crop on real scans
Single prints are trimmed; multi-photo scans are split.

Single print
Empty scanner margin removed
A print scanned on a large bed, trimmed down to the photo and its own border.

Several prints
Split instead of trimmed
When the scan holds four prints, auto crop returns four separate photos.
Comparison
Auto crop vs. manual crop
Trimming scans with and without detection.
You stay in control
Detection is a starting point, not a black box. Before you export you can:
- Move, resize or rotate any box (with undo)
- Draw a box the detector missed, or use the 4-point tool
- Copy a layout or template to a whole batch
