Crop Scanned Photos. Cut every print out of a flatbed scan automatically.
Crop a Scan Free

You upload
1 flatbed scan
You download
3 cropped photos
Upload a flatbed scan and AI Auto Cropper finds each print and crops it for you β no selection tool, no guessing where the paper ends.
Best for prints on a plain scanner lid or white sheet. Crops keep the full resolution of your scan and download as JPGs or one ZIP.
Example Β· Flatbed

- Close the scanner lid β a white, even background detects best.
- Keep prints a little apart so their edges donβt touch.
- Tilted prints are fine β each crop is straightened on export.
- Scan at 300β600 DPI for crops you can reprint.
From scan to files
Three prints, one scan, three photos.
Mixed print sizes and orientations on one sheet are found in one pass and cropped from the original pixels.

How it works
How to crop scanned photos
Scan once, crop everything β four short steps.
01
Scan
Lay several prints on the glass with a small gap and scan them together.
02
Upload
Drop one or many scans (JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, TIFF, PDF) into the tool above.
03
Check boxes
Each print is outlined. Nudge or resize a box if you want a tighter crop.
04
Download
Save each cropped photo as a JPG, or download all of them as a ZIP.
Scan cropper
Crop scanned photos without a photo editor
Scanning is fast; cropping is the slow part. A flatbed with four prints on it produces one large image with a lot of white space and four photos that still need to be cut out, straightened to the page, and saved one by one.
AI Auto Cropper looks for the rectangles that differ from the plain scanner background and turns each one into a crop. You see the boxes on top of your scan, can fix anything that looks off, and export when youβre happy. It is the same engine as the photo splitter on the homepage, tuned here for loose prints on a flatbed.
Everything runs locally in your browser, so private family photos never leave your computer.

Use cases
Common flatbed scanning jobs
Anything you can lay flat on the glass in a group.
Shoeboxes of loose prints
Scan four to six prints per pass and split each sheet into separate photos.
Instant & wallet photos
Small prints fit many to a scan β each one becomes its own file.
Postcards and printed cards
Group several cards on the glass and export one image per card.

Why automatic
Why crop scans automatically?
Manual cropping means one selection, one export, and one file name per photo. With a stack of a few hundred prints that is hours of repetitive clicking. Automatic cropping turns each scan into finished files in seconds, and you only touch the boxes that need it.
- Every print found in one pass
- Crops taken from the full-resolution scan
- Nothing uploaded β runs on your device
Examples
When cropping scanned photos works best
Plain backgrounds and small gaps between prints give the cleanest boxes.

Flatbed Β· white lid
Mixed print sizes
Two landscape prints and one portrait print scanned together, cropped into three separate photos.

Single print
Trim the empty scanner bed
One photo on a big scan: the plain margin around it is removed so only the print remains.
Comparison
Automatic vs. manual scan cropping
What changes when the cropper finds the prints for you.
You stay in control
Detection is a starting point, not a black box. Before you export you can:
- Move, resize or rotate any box (with undo)
- Draw a box the detector missed, or use the 4-point tool
- Copy a layout or template to a whole batch
